ICSC 2019

2019 International Collegiate Sales Competition

On November 6-9, the President of our chapter, Rebecca Brant, attended the International Collegiate Sales Competition (ICSC) in Orlando, Florida, hosted by Florida State University.

Competitions

She competed in the Sales Roleplay Competition, sponsored by Reliaqest. Students had 15 minutes to convince a fictitious representative from Paycom to continue the buying process for Greymatter, a Reliaquest product that improves visibility across cyber security technologies. Rebecca did her best and advanced to the Wild Card round of the competition.

Networking/Job Fair

Along with sales competitions, the conference also provides extensive networking opportunities with the companies that attend the career fair. Various organizations were looking for sales representatives to hire for full-time or internship positions.Rebecca was asked to interview with several company representatives, providing a great opportunity to enhance her professional development skills and selling skills.

Fisher competed among schools from all over the country with very strong sales programs. This kind of exposure is very beneficial as the School of Business continues to enhance its Professional Sales program.

Reflections

Rebecca says, “Being able to travel to the ICSC opened my eyes to the endless opportunities there are in marketing and sales. Being surrounded with such talented students from around the world made me proud to represent St. John Fisher. Opportunities like these are what add such value to the college experience!”
