AMA International Collegiate Conference

The St. John Fisher Collegiate Chapter of the American Marketing Association  offers students the opportunity to develop their marketing skills, gain industry experience, and network with professionals.

Each year, our chapter travels to New Orleans, Louisiana to compete in an International Collegiate Conference for the collegiate chapters in the American Marketing Association. Here, we compete in professional competitions, network, and prepare for an engaging career in marketing.

Our past success has encouraged our team to continuously grow. This year, our group will be competing in: a Case Competition, Outbound Sales Competition, Chapter Plan and Annual Report, Outstanding Marketing Week, Chapter Exhibit Competition, Perfect Pitch Competition, Chapter T-Shirt, Marketing Strategy Competition, and best Community and Social Impact Video Competition

Our Mission:

The SJFC AMA Chapter serves to provide students with real life marketing experience, networking, and resume building opportunities through collaboration with the American Marketing Association, local marketing professionals, and the St. John Fisher College School of Business faculty and staff.

We are a small college located in Western New York nestled in between the suburbs and city streets of Rochester. We recently opened the Victor E. Salerno Center for American Enterprise in September 2013 – complete with a trading room, LED ticker with real-time financial data, large classrooms equipped with interactive technology, a brand new computer lab, collaboration rooms, and faculty offices – the building has become home to over 800 School of Business students including our very own SJFC AMA members.

We became a recognized collegiate chapter of the AMA in 2010 with only 7 student members. We come a long way since then… almost 6 years later, we’re over 30 members strong and we expect to keep growing. Although we sometimes wish we were a larger chapter, we have learned to embrace our size. It allows us to form personal relationships with our members, ultimately providing an environment conducive for effective communication and collaboration. Welcome to SJFC AMA, take a look around, read and subscribe to the blog and check out our E-board.
